Rain Barrel Workshop In-Person
The UF/IFAS Miami Dade Urban Horticulture Program comes to the Cybrarium to teach how to conserve water in your garden! Learn how you can safely and successfully harvest rainwater for future use in your home landscape. The workshop itself is free, and attendees have the option to separately purchase a rain barrel. With the rollout of Miami-Dade County’s Rain Barrel Rebate Program, participants have the option to purchase a refurbished rain barrel after the workshop for $100 + tax and receive a $50 rebate when you apply at Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department’s website: https://www.miamidade.gov/global/service.page?Mduid_service=ser1494864593277758. Attendees must be present for the entire workshop to qualify for the rain barrel rebate.
If you choose to purchase a rain barrel, you may do so with a credit card online while registering for the workshop. Alternatively, rain barrels can be purchased at the pick-up with a check or money order only. No cash will be accepted. Pickup location will be provided immediately following the presentation.
